September Class Descriptions
POM: Lucy In the Sky…Socks: $25.00 Pre-registration required. These socks knit on US size 3 needles using sport weight yarn knit up fast! They are also a good first "double pointed needles" project, because they workout so quickly. No stress, and a beautiful product to boot!
Basic Crochet: $25.00 Pre-registration required. Learn to chain, slip stitch, single and double crochet while figuring out which of the two standard crochet hook grips are right for you. Purchase a skein of light colored worsted weight yarn and one of our new Alary aluminum crochet hooks and be on your way to creating a designer look for your wardrobe!
Slipper Socks: $35.00 Pre-registration required. Short and adorable, these quick-to-knit beauties are a great gift idea, and would be greatly appreciated by all those with - cold feet! Bulky yarn and large double pointed needles work up into a sturdy fabric perfect for delicate toes!
Crochet Shell Cowl: $25.00 Pre-registration required. A good beginning crochet project, this fast and fun shell stitch garment gets going quickly with very little stress. A fun project, it works up in worsted weight yarn and looks especially nice in self-striping yarns.
Bulky Mittens: $35.00 Pre-registration required. Either with the rolled edge or without, these bulky mittens are easy knitting, and a great introduction to the great tradition of mitten knitting - and a good way to start branching out if you've never knit with double pointed needles before, too. Yarns and needles are available at class.
Portuguese Fisherman's Hat: $25.00nPRe-registration required. This traditional, Portuguese fisherman's hat, knit in bulky yarn is a fun and quick gift. Make them in many colors, because they might not even make it to your head before someone wants it!
Traditional Triangular Shawl: $35.00 Pre=registration required. NOT FOR BEGINNING KNITTER. Using traditional shaping techniques and lace patterns and a circular knitting needle (US size 8-10.5) knit your own triangular shawl starting from a garter stitch edging to inputting your very own design elements. Project is completed independently.
